New Year Vision & Planning Session

Saturday, 3rd January 2026 | 10am-1pm GMT | Online

A morning of learning, journalling and planning joy and ease into your year.

We're all tired of New Year's Resolutions

Big energy built on criticism, obligation, and perfectionism turn into self improvement projects which are abandoned after two weeks

By February, we're back to feeling guilty about the gap between who you are and who you think you should be. Not this year.

This year, you're invited to do something different.

A morning of getting crystal clear on what you actually want, why you want it, and how you're going to make it happen.

Not 17 vague intentions based on thinking you're not good enough. We are going to look at what we want to build, what is working, and how we can expand on that.

What we'll do together

  • Reflect on 2025 (with honesty, not shame)

Get everything out of your head and onto paper. Process what the year taught you. Celebrate the wins your brain's convinced you to ignore. Let go of the patterns that aren't serving you anymore. This section works whether you've already filled in the workbook or not. If you have, we'll go deeper. If you haven't, we'll do it together.

  • Plan 2026 (with psychology, not optimism)

Learn why your brain can only handle 3-5 choices before it shuts down entirely (and why this is why you break resolutions). Understand the difference between a perfectionist fantasy and an impossible goal. Choose ONE goal and build a plan that works with your actual human capacity. If you've already chosen your goal, brilliant - we'll refine it and plan how to actually follow through. If you're still deciding, we'll figure it out together.

  • Make it real (with structure, not willpower)

Map your reasons. Plan your first actions. Decide what you'll tell yourself when it gets hard. Leave with a completed plan, not just good intentions.

Here's what makes this different

It's a vision day, not a lecture.
Bring your favourite pen, your nice journal, your good tea. Light a candle if you want. This is about making January planning feel like something you want to do, not another obligation.

We work and learn in focused and community.
I'll teach for 10-15 minutes, then we'll work together. No pressure to perform, no forced sharing unless you want to. Just focused, supported work time and an opportunity to share and crowdsource, if you'd like.

We'll get the stuff done .
Not "I'll do it later." or someother thing on your to-do list to start the new year. You'll leave with a completed 2025 review and a realistic 2026 plan.

You'll learn the psychology.
I'm going to teach you exactly why your brain sabotages goals, why "more willpower" isn't the answer, and how to work with your actual capacity instead of against it.

This works whether you've have an idea what you want to work towards or not.

This works whether you have started the workbook or not.
Haven't touched it yet? Perfect. We'll do it together.
Already filled it in? Even better. We'll go deeper and you'll leave with more clarity and a stronger plan.

Why This Workshop Works: The Three Shifts

Most goal-setting advice assumes you have unlimited capacity, unlimited willpower, and that your body is a machine to be optimised. Here we do things differently. We're working on making four crucial shifts:

  • CLARITY

We will work against exhausting perfectionist fantasies and look at desire goals. One exhausts you, one excites you. We'll teach you the difference. When we focus our energy instead of diluting it, change actually happens.

  • CAPACITY

Committed action within your actual limits. Not borrowed capacity. Not the capacity of an imaginary version of you who doesn't need rest. Your REAL capacity.

  • COMPASSION

Working with yourself, not against yourself. Your brain hasn't betrayed you. It's doing what it can with the factors impacting it - and we look at how to bring the kindness back.

What won't happen:

❌ No toxic positivity
❌ No lofty goals you'll abandon by next Tuesday
❌ No spiritual bypassing or Instagram pop psychology
❌ No pressure to share or be "on" - cameras optional, participation optional (and yes, there will be a replay)
❌ No guilt about 2025 - we're processing and moving forward

Just honest, psychologically grounded work on what you want and how to actually get there with kindness.

Can't make it live?

You'll get the replay. But I strongly recommend coming live if you can - there's something powerful about doing this work at the same time as other people and crowd sourcing ideas. You're not alone in wanting this year to be different. Let's plan for our success.

FAQ

  • "I've already filled in the workbook - is this still useful?"

YES. If you've done the work, we'll go deeper. You'll refine your thinking, strengthen your plan, and learn the psychology behind why goals fail so you can actually follow through this time. Plus you'll get the focused work time to really solidify your 2026 vision instead of just having notes you never look at again.

  • "I haven't even looked at the workbook yet - will I be behind?"

Not at all. Most people haven't filled it in. That's why we're doing it together. You'll download it, show up, and we'll work through it as a group.

  • "Three hours is a long time - do I have to stay the whole time?"

The session is designed as a complete experience with a break in the middle, but if you need to drop off early, that's fine. You'll get the replay so you can finish later. But honestly, the magic happens when you commit the full three hours and actually complete the work in one sitting.

  • "Do I have to turn my camera on?"

Nope. Camera optional. Some people like the accountability of being seen, others prefer to work privately. Both are completely fine.

  • "What if I have more than one goal?"

Perfect. We'll talk about that. Specifically, we'll talk about why trying to focus on seven things is exactly why none of them are happening. You'll learn how to choose the one that matters most and put all your energy there.

  • "What if I have no goals?"

Great! We will work out how you want your year to feel.

  • "Is this only for business goals?"

Not at all. This works for anything: relationships, health, creative projects, rest, boundaries, career changes, personal growth. Whatever matters to you.

  • "Will this be recorded?"

Yes. You'll get the replay for 14 days if you need to watch it again or if you miss part of it live. The teaching slides are yours to keep forever.

  • "What happens after the session?"

At the end, I'll share information about SelfCareSchool for people who want ongoing support. But there's no hard sell. This workshop is complete and standalone. You'll have everything you need.

Who am I?

Hi, I'm Anna, also known as HeardinLondon

I'm Anna, a mindset coach, empowerment photographer, feminist, Buddhist and circus expert, and I have spent over two decades focusing on social justice and how to find creative solutions to help people reclaim their bodies and minds. I am a confidence coach for people who hate having their photograph taken. I believe by taking on the responsibility to do our own work, we resource ourselves to support more people. I have helped thousands of people untangle the stories they tell about themselves, so they can lead more joy-filled, relaxing lives. I am on a fierce mission to equip people with the mindset tools they need to break through their own self-sabotage and live their wildest dreams. We all deserve that. And I don't think we should all magically know how to manage our minds, if no one ever teaches us.
